This is an active meditation that came in answer to a prayer for insight into the ways that I could relieve a full and stagnant feeling that was growing in my lower abdomen.
The essential oil blend I was given to enhance this process is a blend of Melissa, Ravensare, Fenugreek, and Rose. Apply a blend made from these oils to the abdomen, heart, and third eye area right before doing this practice.
The meditation has 2 parts. The first part is appropriate for any adult--male or female--of child-bearing age. The second part is only for those women who are experiencing the beginning signs of menopause, have undergone surgery that created early menopause, or have entered or completed the several year process that we call menopause; or for men who are experiencing the male counterpart of menopause; both of which I will refer to as The Change.
Part 1
This can be practiced from a sitting position, standing, or lying down. If you are lying down, you will need to imagine the hollow tube bending 90 degrees to enter Mother Earth after it has passed your feet.
- Close your eyes and relax.
- Focus on your breathing, allowing it to become rhythmic. Let go of any stress you may feel in your body.
- Become aware of a glowing golden light sphere located in the vicinity of your uterus (for women) or your prostate glands (for men).
- Allow the golden light to expand to the size of a grapefruit.
- On an out breath, send a hollow tube down between your legs and into the Earth, dropping deeper and deeper until it reaches the golden light of the still-point at the very center of Mother Earth.
- Take a few breaths and keep this connection in your awareness.
- On an in breath, draw the golden light from the center of Mother Earth up the hollow tube and into your own golden sphere. Allow it to swirl around the inside of the sphere. Take your time, stay in your rhythm.
- On the following our breath, allow the light to drain down the hollow tube, back to the still-point. At first, it may be challenging to get it to move. Allow it to be whatever it is--don't force it.
- Gently repeat steps 6 through 8, for 7 times. Try not to use any forcefulness, simply suggest the energy movement and allow it to evolve on its own. Gradually it will open a new circulation in an area of the body that often becomes stagnant without this Earth connection.
Part 2
- Complete part 1.
- Take a few breaths and allow the golden light to continue circulating on its own.
- On an in breath, draw the golden light up from the still-point. Allow it to grow very bright inside the sphere.
- On the next out breath, send the light out the front of the sphere and around in a circular tube, to concentrate just outside the front of the heart.
- On the next in breath, open the heart and draw the golden light into the heart.
- On the next out breath, send the golden light out the back of the heart, into a circular tube that passes through the pituitary and pineal glands inside the brain, and comes around to concentrate at the front of the heart.
- On the next in breath, open the heart and draw the golden light into the heart.
- On the next out breath, send the golden light out into the circular tube that passes through the uterus or prostate glands, and circles up to concentrate at the front of the heart.
- Repeat steps 5 through 8, for 7 times.
- On the final cycle, when the golden light passes through the abdominal sphere, allow it to drain back down the tube again to the still-point.
