Quick Comment from Member

My husband has a torn something behind his scapula.  I know the massage moves to help it, but I was wondering if you had any tried and true mixes for muscle healing.  I'd appreciate any suggestions you may have.

Best wishes

My reply:

For this I like a combination of German chamomile, cypress, St. Johnswort, and anything else that dowses or feels like it should be included.  I have had great results with these three as my base, (and  adding an individual oil or two if there are others that dowse positive).

I also have great results when I first put oil on the local area, then run it all the way down the arm and fingertips.  Then I put pressure on the exact center of the pain.  Then I have him breathe into the painful spot until the pain releases and energy runs down the arm through the fingers.  He will feel like he is pressing hard through his palm and fingers as it releases.  You may already do this, but if not--give it a try.  It seems that when people get back into the tissue by "pushing" into the pain, it really releases a lot even with a fresh injury.

Perspectives on Garlic

I have been saving some of the dialog on garlic that has come through my e-mail in the past few weeks.  It all began when one member sent the link to a video on garlic with this note:

  • I ran across this information from Dr. Bob Beck on garlic.    It is a brief video    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14aZbjs0mIY

This man is pretty impressive.    For a long time, I havn't been comfortable using garlic.   I didn't know why, it just didn't feel right to me.  I grew it in my garden these last two years.  Amazingly enough, even the ground squirrels ate it.   Along with everything else.

I would like your opinion on it.    I have 4 oz. of the essential oil now and would like to use it, possibly for a plant pesticide?    I won't use it for human or animal use now, either oral or topical.

    Thanks!

This video, which I forwarded to all the Buyers Club members, stimulated several to write with great insights on the use of garlic.  I have one of their comments here, and hope that others will share theirs again, as I have deleted a few from my mailbox by mistake.

Thank you all in advance--you all had some great insights and perspectives on the use of this extremely potent medicinal plant.

I myself stopped eating garlic many years ago, when my guidance came to stop.  Later, as I began to explore Chinese medicine and other herbalists' perspectives on this plant, I found lots of evidence to back up my decision.  Now I rarely use it, mainly in tonics for certain Parasite cleansing, for which there is no equal in my book.  In my experience, Garlic can clean out parasites that other herbs, including black walnut and wormwood, can not.   It is also a fallback remedy for severe infections, viral, bacterial, and even fungal.

I have noticed that it is a great insect and animal repellant.  And the essential oil, though very strong, does seem to have a more harmonious frequency and aroma than the raw plant.  Here is a comment from another member on the used of garlic:

  • Thanks for sharing this information, I have a similar picture, but I'd like to add a few thoughts.

In using any oil or herb, there are times when it is helpful and there are times when it is counterproductive.  The key to all of this is for us to really listen to our body(or our clients) and respond appropriately.  I have read lots of stuff that coffee is good or bad, green tea is good or bad, etc.  I have learned that for most experiences coffee is counterproductive to the root chakra except in very specific instances (so far, I have only heard to use it when someone has digestive cancer and it is used for enemas to remove waste from their system so they can eliminate the toxins and cancer waste from from their body).  Green tea has caffeine and for the most part is not healthy but in specific circumstances where someone is extremely out of balance.  So far I've always found something more effective to add to the diet that does not contain caffeine.  I don't use any black pepper in the diet as it becomes toxic when it is heated.  It builds up in the digestive tract and is a source of blocking nutrition absorption in the small intestine.  Cayenne gives that peppery flavor, but helps eliminate the digestive blockages and supports heart health.

To keep balance on the subject,  I would share that when my daughter had tetanus, I used 6x garlic as the main part of the healing and it worked wonderfully, though other herbalists around me were skeptical.  When someone has an abscessed tooth, I put an onion poultice on it to draw out the toxins & slow or stop the infection, then I have them use marigold until they can get to a dentist.  For each of the descriptions of the five organs, I have used garlic as a part of the regimen for healing kidney infection, to boost the immune functions in cases of exhausted spleen energy, eliminate infection in the heart and liver and lungs.  In the super virus realm, 6x garlic also seems to be quite effective, and I have at times used it in conjunction with essential oils when someone's immune function is severely depleted.   It does destroy the good bacteria in the body and I always use yogurt or probiotics in conjunction with it to minimize the digestive side affects.  I do the same when I use oregano, thyme or tea tree internally.

I really appreciated (another member's) instinct in not using garlic after having a baby.  I did not use it at all while I was breastfeeding, and the mothers in our community have come to the same instinct on their own.  It creates gas in little ones and upsets the delicate balance in the newly forming digestive tracts.

I believe that everything on this earth has a purpose.  While garlic has been greatly overused and in some cases contributes to distress in the system particularly where healthy bacteria are concerned, there are times when I hear to use it because that is exactly what someone needs to bring their body back to balance and health.  I think that the overuse of garlic  in the diet is partly the cause of the rise in the number of yeast conditions in people.  This of course would not happen by itself, but by making many food choices that disrupt the health of the good bacteria and creating an acid environment for candida to thrive in.  Garlic has been touted as a cure all for at least the last 30 years and it has been way overused in the diet because of it.

    Use it wisely!
    In light and love

Many thanks for all of your insights and comments--if any more are still available, please copy and paste them into the comment box so others can get the benefit!  There was another great comment on the Chinese medicine perspective, which seems to have been deleted from my inbox.  And several others offered comments as well.

I appreciate all of the members and your wealth of experience and information!

Beautiful Oil Additions

Hi there,

I just want to highlight a little information about a couple of the new oils that we are offering on this order.

Grindelia  (also known as Gum weed or Gum plant) (Grindelia squarrossa)

Native American peoples have used Gum plant for medicinal purposes throughout time.  It was used to treat bronchial and respiratory issues and diseases, skin rashes--especially poison ivy and allergic reactions.  In the early 19th century, it was recognized by the current medical culture as a major therapeutic and medicinal herb.  It was listed in the Pharmacopoeia  of the United States from 1882 to 1926.  Modern herbalists still use this plant to treat certain disorders.

It is useful in treating asthma, and respiratory issues where there is obstruction or phlegm in the airways.  This oil has a relaxing effect on the muscles lining the small bronchial passages, and can help relieve mucus and obstruction.

Grindelia is also believed to desensitize the nerve endings in the bronchial tree, and to slow the heart beat, which leads for easier breathing for those with emphysema and other pulmonary disorders.

It has also been used to speed the process of healing of burns and other skin injuries, much like lavender.

This plant was so effective in healing whooping cough and bronchitis, that there is still a synthetic medicine produced by drug companies today that are prescribed for these diseases!

Blue Hemlock (Tsuga canadensis)

Hemlock is a "climax species",  that it is the final species to grow in a woodland's evolution.  Hemlock grows taller and longer than any other trees.  If there were no human interference, and no natural disasters, our forests would be dark woodlands of towering hemlock!

Hemlock tips are filled with Vitamin C, and the tea made from them can be equated with Gatorade and Emergen-C; electrolyte replacement drinks (without the added flavorings and sugars!).  The essential oil carries the ability to relieve fatigue, ward off thirst and hunger, and ward off colds and flu by boosting the immune system.

The Spirit of Hemlock is considered a benevolent being, and those who sleep under a hemlock tree are blessed with comfort and protection, according to Indigenous American lore.  It is a fantastic massage oil, opening muscular blockage and increasing circulation; and by diffusing this amazing oil, we can access a level of peace and protection in our environments that is like being in a giant forest of protective beings!  It is anti-microbial and strengthening to the whole human body and energy system.

I find it combines particularly nicely with lime, vanilla, and most of the citruses, for a very clean and light atmosphere.

Many Blessings!

Kathryn

Essential Oils in Co-creation

In just a few weeks, a number of people I know will be heading into the four directions, on guidance and with healing intentions.  Some will be going to Rapa Nui, the  Island many of us call Easter Island.  Others will be going to Indonesia, Ecuador, Peru, and Europe.  People from every continent will be participating in at least one of these journey events.

All of these travelers have been working in co-creation for some years, to assist Mother Earth and All Our Relations in healing and balancing during this spectacular time.  They will be taking crystals as offerings at sacred sites, doing ceremonies to bring balance and healing, and receiving new energies and making them accessible for the human aspect of our planetary consciousness.

I am honored to be a part of these healing journeys, and am sending crystals along with each of them--some to return to White Sage Landing, and others to be left as offerings or to go with other people.  Before sending these crystals with each traveller, I was guided to layer them with Passage Home vibrational remedy and a dynamic Alchemical Perfume that would set specific frequencies and intentions in the crystals.  They spent several days and nights in the Healing Circuit that has been activated at White Sage, and finally received my human programs as I was guided to do.

  • The large black tourmaline, included with quartz, rose quartz, and pyrite, that will be holding our connection with all the travelers as they go.

Then, after all of the traveling crystals were already on their way, I tuned in to the Nature spirits and found that they wanted me to go around the whole 15 acres of White Sage Landing, putting a drop of the Passage Home remedy on every crystal, tree, and stone that I am guided to anoint.  The intention will be to prepare the land and local consciousness for the new frequencies and intentions that will be returning over the following weeks.  Oh boy, I am going to need some gallons of this remedy!!!

The Alchemical Perfume will also be placed at certain points around the property, concentrating in areas where humans spend a lot of time.  The perfume is so sweet and beautiful, I am wearing it right now and I get a great sense of new beginnings and enthusiasm from this blend.  I made it with Frangipani (offered on the upcoming Buyers Club order), Cocoa, Osmanthus, Violet leaf, Allspice, and coconut oil.

Here is the recipe, please feel free to duplicate it or use it as a platform for creating your own.  I am calling it Co-creation, as I feel it is intended to awaken human consciousness to deeper levels of co-creation--something that is very challenged in our locality.

Co-Creation
20 ml Coconut oil
20 drops Frangipani absolute
1/4 t. Cocoa Co2 total
1 drop Allspice essential oil
2 drops pure Osmanthus absolute
2 drops Violet leaf absolute

Place it in a Miron Violetglass bottle and shake at least 100 times, holding the intention you are envisioning.  You can activate it more by placing under a copper pyramid, in a medicine wheel, or next to an activated crystal for a period of time.

If you love this aroma, you can wear it any time, knowing that it is consciously holding the frequency of your intentions in an aura around you.  I hope you find this as enjoyable as I do!

Blessings to all of you living in co-creation,
Kathryn
