Equinox Oil Order Notes

We have begun the process of pouring oils and preparing the orders for packing!  Here are a few notes on some of the oils in this order.
  • New Shea Butter from Togo  New, fresh Shea Butter has just arrived!  This year's butter has a high level of fat; you may see a spotty, rough appearance on the surface of the butter.  However, it will smooth out beautifully when stirred or whipped.  Shea butter is one of the few natural plant substances with a  Sun Protection Factor.
  • White Verbena   We were unable to get our full allotment of White Verbena.  Those who ordered 30 ml bottles will receive 4--5ml bottles in place of the 30ml.  We will refund the difference to your accounts and apply it as a credit for the next order.  Our deep apologies--this oil has become so popular, and there is very little being produced anymore!
  • Petitgrain sur fleurs Neroli   This year's distillation is very fresh and still has a green note from the still.  To acquire the smooth Neroli flower topnotes, the oil needs to mellow for about 4 to 6 weeks.  Store it in a dark, cool cupboard or in the fridge. Close the bottle cap and don't open it for a few weeks, giving it time to age and mellow.  I believe you will be very happy with the results!
  • Aged Champaca Flower  I have wanted to share a Champaca Flower essential oil from my private reserve, which has been aged for 5 years.  This seems like the right time, since Champaca flower was not distilled this year.  This oil is a prime example of how beautiful many of the oils become when properly aged.  The sample comes in a small amber glass bottle that holds 1.5 ml.  This is the bottle that will be listed on our next order form, for purchase by the dozen.  (It was represented as a 2 ml size, but once we measured it with a laboratory pipettor, it became clear that it holds exactly 1.5 ml.  This is a perfect size for sharing small amounts of oils, and for making some of the really costly oils more affordable).  Because we ran out of the amber bottles, a few people will be getting their sample in a clear vial--my apologies.  We hope you enjoy this rare quality aromatic treat!
  • Hops CO2 for B Vitamin Deficiency    At least 7 years ago, after being on a pure vegan diet--no eggs, meats, poultry, or dairy product foods--for years, I had begun to notice signs in myself of B Vitamin deficiency.  It was very challenging to find a B Vitamin supplement that was free of glycerin, binders, fillers, etc.  In fact, all of the ones I tried were not of a suitable frequency for me, and I stopped taking them almost as soon as I tried them.  Gradually I was having an increasing fluttering sensation in my heart that I knew was related, but could not seem to find a suitable answer.  Then I found the magic combination  that has seemed to do wonders for me!  I have since used this remedy for other people that display symptoms of a B Vitamin deficiency, with great results.  Here is an easy recipe for starting out:  Hops Remedy:  1 to 3 drops of Hops Co2 Extract, added to 30 ml (or 1 ounce) of water.  Shake the bottle well, and before taking each dose.  Take 3 to 10 drops of this mixture every day until you feel you are assimilating B Vitamins better.  (You can vary the recipe according to personal needs, this is just a good starting point).  If you are also feeling you need to support yourself with a high quality B Vitamin, I recommend this clean sublingual brand:  Perque B-12 Supplement, available at this link:  http://www.drcousensonlinestore.com/B-12-Guard-100-Lozenges-Emerson-Ecologics-p/404.htm
  • Natural Clays   Our new line of natural healing clays is sold by weight, and not volume.  Clays are funny substances;  some are fluffy, some are heavy, and some swell in humidity.  Anyway, they tend to settle a great deal once they are poured.  So if your bottle looks only partially full, know that it was full when we prepared it--and it does contain the proper amount of clay by weight.  We will also be adding a Red Australian Reef clay on next month's order, which we are excited to play with.  I will write a BLOG soon about the different clays and their healing properties.

Thank you all for your wonderful support, and great commitment to the health and regeneration of all people and Earth Mother too!  And thank you to all who have contributed your stories to the BLOG--we love to hear about your successes, and non-successes too.
