Scoliosis Treatment with Essential Oils

I know that many of you have had success treating scoliosos with essential oils.  Here is a member's recent comment on this topic.

Hi Kathryn,

I have a customer who was telling me that she used one of the oils that I sent her along with a cream she uses and it helped straighten her spine.  here's what she told me:

"The blue cypress salt has been soaked twice already for me to make a lotion using the infusion from the salt. I have made the recent one using an MSM lotion to anoint my spine which really used to be very crooked. I almost can't believe how it has straightened out!  If I look at my back in the mirror now, it is completely straight!  The only thing I have done is use this infusion daily twice, on my back and on the bottoms of my feet too.  Pretty amazing for sure!"

Just to let you know ... I sent her a chunk of himalayan salt with a couple drops of the Blue Cypress ... if I remember right, I usually only put a couple drops but a whole bunch came out "accidentally".  It's funny at the time I told her she must really need it.

I asked her to tell me about the cream she used and here's the info she sent me - though I wonder if it could have been one OR the other that helped her spine.  Knowing what my supplier said about KNOWING people who were CURED of scoliosis with essential oils, I wonder if it could have been the blue cypress that helped straighten out her back.  I wouldn't be surprised.  However, since she used both - I would just do both also ... there's nothing to lose and so much to gain.  With all the money that you can spend on treatments of all kinds - wouldn't it be wonderful if an essential oil and a simple cream could help.

Here's what she told me about the lotion in case you want to look into it further.

" The MSM lotion I use came recommended by a friend several years ago who, herself had very sensitive skin and many allergies too. I buy it direct from the manufacturer/formulator. I call Paul Gaylon at 831-688-8706 at Herbal Products Development in California and he ships usually on the same day...wonderful and easy to buy from. You can also view it on their web site at www.herbprod.com under skincare. It is called “Skin Restore”  I use it anywhere and it is great for my creations with other oils added or butters ! It is very soft feeling and I also use it with some oils and water on a cotton round to remove makeup.   When I order it, I buy 6, 8 oz. pumps at a time and get a discount .

  •  " I have also found the same thing under a different label at www.rawfoodworld.com  (Matt Monarch’s site) as MSM Lotion sold last time I bought it there, at a cost price of around $9.50  I found it to be exactly the same and also saw it at David Wolfs site. I have not asked Paul if he supplies all these other seller with his product to label under their own name yet.

I think you can’t go wrong with it. It is so versatile that you could use it as a plain old body lotion if you really didn’t like it. It is non irritating to me but my daughter says that if you have broken skin anywhere, it can burn a bit."

I did a little research on this ... MSM is sulphur.  I did a quick search for sulphur and scoliosis and here's what I found:

It doesn't say it helps with scoliosis but it is on the scoliosis website.  Perhaps they can't say because of legalities.

I thought I'd share this ... please feel free to pass it along if you think it would be helpful.  ~From a Member

I remember several Buyers Club Members have worked intensely with scoliosis.  If anyone else would care to share their story, please do!

Healing Plants

One of our members writes on Thursday, June 27:

I had a great experience this past 6 weeks that I'd like to share with the group.  I went to a greenhouse with a friend, and fell in love with two gorgeous rose bushes.  They were huge, healthy looking and vibrant.  I have others that I have grown the past few years and am now making my own rose water and rose infused oil.  I thought these plants would make a great addition to our gardens.

I brought them home and within two days they had yellow and brown spots.  I picked all the diseased leaves off the plant and threw them away.  I had them on my deck as I had not a chance to plant them yet.  We had snow the day before and were likely to get it again, so I was acclimating them before they were planted and awaiting good weather.  The plant continued to worsen and the discoloration spread throughout the leaves very quickly.  I was surprised at how quickly it ravaged the plants and disappointed as well.  It came into my mind to use lemon which is such a great antimold/antifungal.  I decided I had nothing to lose and went with my instincts.

I filled a sprayer with water and a couple drops of lemon essential oil.  I sprayed the plant and then as a a side note, I dumped the rest of the bottle into the soil, hoping to rid the soil of the problem as well.  The plant continued to look worse.  A week later I began to think I would lose them.

My husband had listened to my dismay.  While I was at class one night, he took the roses out to  our chicken coop and planted them in front of the coop itself.  Two weeks later, both roses look as they did when I first bought them:  plenty of beautiful, healthy green leaves and now profusely covered in roses.

This morning I noticed that my grapes are now having a similar issue.  We have had a lot of rain this year.  It is the first year that we are going to get grapes from our second year vines ( a year earlier than what I have read is usual).  They are covered in beautiful grapes and leaves.  Today the same rusty brown stuff reared its ugly head on these incredible plants (they are huge and were so healthy looking).  It has hit quickly.  It's already on leaves and grapes of all 4 of our vines.  I decided to take action with the lemon once again.

My curiosity took hold and I brought a leaf in and looked it up.  It is called botrytis, and it is common on grapes, roses, tomatoes, etc.  It gets into the soil and destroys the fruit and leaves.  It spreads quickly.  So I typed in natural treatments for this, and I see a European reference using Lemon oil in homeopathic doses to treat soil, leaves and grapes.

I am once again delighted by the universal laws that bring us what we need into our minds when we sincerely desire it.  I am also very grateful for the oils and thought others might benefit from this experience.

My love to you all.

Using Therapeutic Clay

Clay is one of the most healing substances known to humankind.  Many indigenous cultures around the world have used clay to heal everything from toothaches to tumors to headaches to staph infections.

Clay is a powerful detoxifying substance.  It pulls and draws toxic substances and inflammation out of the body.  Sometimes it creates blood blisters or even draining sores when applied consistently over areas of toxic accumulation.  This is actually a good thing, as it shows the clay is pulling out toxicity from body cells.  They will heal and clear up as soon as the toxicity is cleared from the local area.

I prefer the use of herbal drawing clays (historically known as escharotic plasters) for cancer treatment, and treating any degenerative or chronic disease that results from toxic accumulation in the body.  They are effective in removing heavy metals, mercury, radioactive residue, chemicals, soap, shampoo, cosmetic residue, and pharmaceutical drug residue from the body.

Some people prefer to use clay in baths, which can detoxify gradually with little effort and gentle effects (usually only a feeling of exhaustion).  For those who are using natural means to heal cancers, tumors, or infections, I recommend mixing clay with ground herbs, essential oils, and water, and applying it directly to the body.  Some recipes follow.

There are some clays that are much stronger detoxifiers than others.  Some of the best clays for this purpose include Moroccan clay (gray), Aztec clay (green), and Pascalite (ivory).  Some blue, yellow, and red clays can also be effective, but not all are the best choice for this purpose.

If you do not want to  make your own blend, there is a set of very effective and clean formulas using Moroccan clay and herbs, available from Jash Botanicals.  I have used their mercury detox and the clear out detox formulas for myself and others, with great success.  The link to this website is here:

A few recipes for you to play with:

Detoxifying Mud Pack

Combine:
  • 2 T. Pascalite
  • 1 T.  Aztec healing clay or Moroccan clay
  • 1 t. comfrey root powder
  • 1/2 t. turmeric essential oil
  • Water or Devil’s club hydrosol, just enough to create a paste.
Use within a few weeks or discard.  Store in refrigerator to help extend shelf life.  This mud pack should be applied to the skin and allowed to dry for 10 to 20 minutes.  Rinse with warm water to remove, then follow with a salve, oil, or creme to restore moisture and rejuvenate skin.

If break out occurs, do not stop using the pack until wound opens and drains.  Then take a little time off and allow scab to form.  Apply healing salve until skin is healed.  If you suspect that there is more toxicity in the area, you can repeat the whole process again. If it breaks out again, this is a sign that there is still more toxic accumulation to clear.

Herbal ingredients you can add if more escharotic strength is needed include:
  • Golden seal powder
  • Sheep sorrel
These are potent and should be used sparingly!

Herbal Healing Salve

Combine:
  • 1 ounce unrefined Shea butter
  • 8 to 10 drops rose otto
  • 25 drops Terebenthine pine,  Pinon pine or Ponderosa pine essential oil
Melt Shea butter in a small pan, over low heat.  Remove from heat as soon as it is all liquified.  Allow to cool and add essential oils.  When salve is beginning to solidify, stir well and scoop into a jar.  Cover and use within a few weeks.

Alternative ingredients to try:
  • Lavender-for pain relief
  • Grapefruit essential oil-for skin parasites
  • All citrus essential oils-for stimulating circulation
  • Neem essential oil-for skin regeneration
  • Yarrow, frankincense, and other anti-cancer oils

Skin Rejuvenating Oil

Combine:
  • 1 ounce unrefined coconut oil
  • 3 ounces jojoba
  • 10 drops rose hip seed CO2 extract, or seabuckthorn berry extract
  • 25 drops evening primrose extract
  • 5 drops rose otto
  •  10 drops neem CO2 extract
  • 4 drops helichrysum (everlasting essential oil)
Other oils to try:  Turmeric, rosemary, neroli, ylang ylang, yarrow, chamomile, myrrh

Using LL Magnetic Clay Blends

If you are using the clay blends from the Jash Botanical link above, here are the mixing instructions:
  • Mix 1 slightly rounded teaspoon clay mixture with 1/4 cup water
  • Stir well--it takes awhile to mix
  • Apply to body
  • Let it dry for 10 to 20 minutes
  • Wash off with a cloth and warm water
  • Apply skin regenerating oil or salve
  • Repeat several times weekly if you are healing cancer or a degenerative disease!  It will take time and many repetitions to rid the body of toxicity.
